Episode 53 – Elections, Conservative Woman Style
I know. I’m late in getting this post on Episode 53 up. I have reasons — good ones — but I won’t get into them here. Suffice it to say that they weren’t as dire as the ones that kept Jake Blues from the altar, but they were good. But now, as the Contours one sang, I’m back to let you know I can really podcast down.
Liz Carter was my first half guest and she called in from the grand opening of her new campaign office. I don’t get particularly vested in political races outside my home district but I very much want Liz to win, and win handily. She’s the sort of citizen politician of which I’d like to see more and I think a decisive win would encourage others like her to get directly involved.
I also managed to grab Pamela Gorman for a few minutes in the second half. She was on her way to a gathering of her campaign volunteers to await the primary night results (which we now know didn’t go her way). I like Pamela for many of the same reasons I like Liz. I hope she takes another run as Congress. I think she’d do very well.
Take a listen; leave a comment!
